«The momentum behind Alberta independence continues to grow.
After a packed Let Alberta Decide Stampede breakfast brought out many Albertans attending an independence event for the first time, recent announcements from Ottawa and the provincial government have provided even more evidence that Canada is no longer working for Alberta.
Taxpayers are being asked to fund costly projects and net-zero policies that risk making Alberta’s oil, natural gas and electricity less competitive. At the same time, Alberta continues to attract major investment, create jobs and supply critical energy across Canada despite federal policies holding the province back.
Alberta has tremendous economic strength and leverage, but Canada’s political structure ensures that the laws affecting Albertans will continue to be determined largely by politicians elected in Ontario and Quebec. Federal elections have come and gone, yet Alberta’s position has only grown worse.
The choice facing Albertans is increasingly clear: continue waiting for Ottawa to change or vote Option 2 and begin building a sovereign country where Albertans make the laws that shape their lives, economy and future.»
