«Alberta independence supporters need to take a deep breath and think strategically. The referendum didn't end how we wanted, but it still created a fantastic and solid base of support we can continue to move forward with.
We must look at how we can consolidate the movement and build what we need to bring about the winning conditions for a referendum down the road.
That means we must have a good long look at ourselves and what went right along with what went wrong.
There are many questions in the air right now about the Alberta Prosperity Project and its leadership that must be resolved. The APP has done some fantastic work and could possibly be the vehicle Alberta needs going forward to build the support for independence that we need. Instead of introspection, though, we see the leadership of the APP trying to go to war with the UCP in a planned campaign that appears to be based more in anger and spite than in trying to build an independent Alberta. Trust is being lost and we are moving backwards.
Let's think strategically and logically. It's the only way we will get it over the line when the time comes and right now the leadership of the APP is doing neither.»
