"On Saturday morning, I headed out across south Calgary to visit several petition pop‑up locations—small tables and lone volunteers giving their time... all driven by one thing: a better future for their families.
What struck me most was how grassroots this movement truly is. These aren’t political insiders or well‑funded organizations. These are everyday Albertans giving up their weekends because they believe their province deserves more control over its destiny.
As I spoke with people throughout the day, one theme kept coming up: excitement. There’s a real sense of momentum building, and many are already looking ahead to the possibility of a referendum on Alberta independence this fall.
This video captures a snapshot of that energy—real people, real conversations, and a growing belief that Alberta’s future should be decided by Albertans."
