Across this province, thousands stepped up.
From Zama City in the far north to Crowsnest Pass in the deep south, Albertans stood in snow, wind, rain, and blazing sun, gathering signatures with nothing but determination and a clipboard. These are the people many have called the heroes of independence.
But the story didn’t stop at the Alberta border.
This campaign reached places none of us expected:
• Lines of Albertans forming under the desert sun in Arizona and California
• A signature gathered on top of a mountain
• And then the moment that stunned everyone — a photo from Egypt, where an Alberta flag was unfurled and a signature was added from halfway across the world.
