Suddenly, Premier François Legault was proudly celebrating the more than $13 billion his province receives from so‑called “rich provinces” like Alberta and Saskatchewan — and even suggesting Quebec can’t consider separation because it’s “less rich.” The audacity is unreal.
Alberta’s taxpayers work hard, contribute massively to Canada’s economy, and yet we’re constantly blocked from developing and exporting the very resources that keep this country running. Meanwhile, Quebec benefits from those same revenues while opposing the industries that generate them.
