A tough day — but not the end of the story.
Many people in the independence movement felt discouraged after yesterday’s court decision to temporarily halt the counting of signatures. I felt it too. I went to bed frustrated and drained… but woke up with a different perspective.
If this moment shakes you, brace yourself — because movements that challenge the status quo always face setbacks. What matters is how we respond. Strength is built in the hard moments, not the easy ones.
Today I’m leaning on the words of people who have been preparing for this:
Mitch Sylvestre, Keith Wilson, and Jeff Rath.
They’ve been clear that obstacles were expected, plans are in place, and the leadership team is already anticipating the next steps.
Later today, I expect we’ll hear from Mitch in an emergency meeting — and I suspect the message will be simple:
Work harder. Push forward. Keep gathering signatures. Show resolve.
This is a setback, not a defeat.
Stay strong. Stay focused. Don’t give up.
