Canada’s energy policy has officially entered the realm of the absurd. While Alberta—home to world‑class oil and gas—asks for a fair chance to support the country, Ottawa turns around and sources LNG from halfway across the planet. You couldn’t script something this backwards.
If you’re still on the fence about Alberta independence, this might be the moment that tips you over. Every time Alberta tries to build prosperity, Canada blocks the path… then imports the very resources we’re told we’re not allowed to develop.
And to the voters who keep endorsing this national self‑sabotage: it’s time to take a hard look at what you’re supporting.
Fair warning: keep your electronics at a safe distance. The level of policy whiplash on display may trigger involuntary projectile reactions.
