«Premier Smith's press conference announcing a tradeoff between Alberta accepting a more slowly growing carbon tax in return for an uncertain pipeline commitment won't cut it.
Independence is the issue of the day and it won't be going away until voters get to resolve it in a referendum. Premier Smith can continue to negotiate with Carney all she pleases, but she must first schedule an independence referendum for this fall.»
