«What a day. What a ride. What a province.
On Saturday, March 21st, I set out on a 14‑hour marathon from Calgary to Mirror, hitting four stops along the way. It started in damp snow and grey skies… but as the sun broke through, so did the smiles, the laughter, and the energy that carried the whole day.
This wasn’t just a road trip — it was a mission.
Collecting signatures for the Alberta independence movement, and it was a massive success. But the real reward wasn’t the numbers. It was the people.
Dozens of friendly, optimistic Albertans — the kind of folks who remind you exactly why this movement has momentum. I even got to meet some of my heroes: Talking with Albertans, Berta Proud Dad, Mister Alberta, and Jason Lavigne. Each conversation added fuel to the fire.
And of course, none of this would’ve been possible without the incredible support from Mr. & Mrs. Al Bertan, and my road‑rally partners Heather and Brenda. You made the long haul feel like a celebration.
Four stops. Four communities. One unforgettable day.
Thanks again to everyone who made it special.»
