"If Alberta and Saskatchewan seceded from Canada to form the United Republic of Athabasca, we would experience substantial economic windfalls by gaining full sovereignty over their resource-rich economies, particularly in oil, gas, and mining sectors that currently generate billions in exports, but are hampered by federal regulations, and equalization payments which divert wealth to other provinces. This independence would lead to lower taxes, streamlined policies attracting foreign investment, and a projected GDP per capita surge, positioning the new nation as one of North America's wealthiest per person, akin to oil-dependent states like Norway, while fostering job growth in energy and agriculture, without Ottawa's interference."
